In Southwest Minneapolis Parks, Bob Fine has accomplished:

  • Saved the Bryant Pedestrian Bridge
  • Found funding for SW tennis courts, including Linden Hills, Pershing  & Kenny
  • Saved SW wading pools after being cut
  • Spearheaded bike paths along Minnehaha Creek
  • Led efforts for Lake Calhoun wetlands
  • Major proponent of improvement to parks, including: Armatage, Painter, Lyndale-Farmstead & Pershing.
  • Major involvement-Washburn football & baseball fields
  • Brought swimming docks back to Harriet & Calhoun

 

Throughout all of Minneapolis, Bob Fine is proud to have accomplished:

  • Developed the Neiman Athletic Complex, by Fort Snelling
  • Developed & Direct permanent Park Headquarters on River
  • Negotiated & Completed 40 acre Solomon Park on Crosstown
  • Negotiated purchase of former Lumber site on Mississippi
  • Negotiated Agreement throughout City on work of roads, sewers, police & duplication of services
